4 NSTU students suspended over clash

Noakhali, Dec 4 (Just News): The authorities of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have suspended four students over clash between students and Ansar members on the campus on Sunday.

The suspended students are - Mohaimenul Islam Nuhas of Pharmacy Department, Nazrul Islam Nadim of Economics Department, Abdur Rakib and Khairul Islam Biplob of Agriculture Department of 2010-2011 academic year.

A clash ensued between Ansar members and the students as the Ansar members obstructed the students as they were trying to enter freedom fighter Hazi Idris Auditorium on the campus denying the order of the authorities while admission procedure was going on in the room in the evening for its 2017-2018 academic session, said the university authorities.

The students claimed that the Ansar members obstructed them while they were trying to enter the auditorium to help the admission seekers. The Ansar men also charged baton on them.

Four students and an Ansar member were injured in the clash.

The injured students are - Razen (Pharmacy Department, 10th batch), Kamrul (Food and Nutrition Department, 12th batch), Shishir (Agriculture Department, 12th batch) and Tarek (Agriculture, 11th batch) and the Ansar member Ismail.

Following the clash, the authorities suspended the four students.
