Dhaka, Feb 26 (Just News): A Dhaka court on Monday extended the bail of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Charitable Trust case until 13 March.
Judge Md Akhteruzzaman of the Special Judge Court-5 passed the order and fixed 13 and 14 March for placing arguments.
On 1 February, the court fixed 25 and 26 February for the hearing of the case against Khaleda Zia and three other accused.
On 8 February, Dhaka Special Court-5 convicted former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and sentenced her to five years' imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust case.
On 8 August, 2011, the ACC filed the Zia Charitable Trust case with Tejgaon police station accusing four people, including Khaleda Zia, of abusing power in raising funds for the trust from unknown sources.
