Dhaka, Mar 31 (Just News): Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was suffering from some chronic diseases.
“Khaleda Zia is in jail as per directives by the court. She is getting all the facilities according to the jail code", the minister said.
“She is physically sound but she has been suffering from some chronic diseases. Her physical condition is being checked up there,” he further said.
The minister came up with the remark while talking to reporters after inaugurating a new police station in Debhata upazila of Satkhira.
Khaleda Zia landed in jail on February 8 after a special court sentenced her to five years' imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust case.
