Dhaka, Apr 7 (Just News): An Awami League activist was killed in a clash between two factions of local Awami League at Mortajapur in Sreepur of Magura on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman, 35, son of Harun Mollah.
A fierce clash ensued between supporters of local Awami League leaders Paban and Harun over previous enmity, said Rezaul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station.
The clash left at least 20 people injured.
The injured were taken to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex where Anisur succumbed to his injuries.
On information, police rushed to the village and brought the situation under control.
Additional police were deployed to avoid further trouble.
