Comilla, Apr 10 (Just News): A court in Comilla today rejected the bail petition filed by BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in a case for instigating an arson attack on a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in 2015.
The attack in Comilla's Chauddagram upazila left seven passengers dead and 25 to 30 others injured on February 3 of 2015.
The BNP chief was shown arrested in the case on March 13.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Mustain Billah of Judicial Magistrate Court-5 rejected the bail prayer after holding a hearing on the petition.
Meanwhile, terming the case politically motivated, Khaleda Zia’s lawyer Sanaullah Miah told journalists that they would appeal to the District Judge's Court after getting the certified copy of today's court order.
