Dhaka, Apr 20 (Just News): Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Friday claimed that the imprisoned party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia presently was at ‘extreme health risk’.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a news briefing held at the party’s central office made the allegation.
He said that Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader’s recent remarks on Khaleda’s health that ‘the longevity and death of a person was in the hands of Allah and that no one had anything to do with it’ carried more ‘horrible indication’.
Quader’s statement proved they (government) were involved in a deep conspiracy over Khaleda’s life, Rizvi said.
He reiterated the party’s demand for immediate arrangements for Khaleda’s treatment at United Hospital in the city under the supervision of her personal physicians.
Otherwise none would escape the people’s wrath, Rizvi warned.
