B Chy calls for sending Khaleda Zia to London

Dhaka, Jun 10 (Just News): Former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Sunday urged the Awami League government to allow BNP chairperson begum Khaleda Zia to go to London for better treatment.

Referring to the media reports, B Chowdhury, himself a reputed physician, observed that opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda fell unconscious and hardly had blood pressure in her brain.

"This kind of patient has chances of suffering stroke. She [Khaleda Zia] needs treatment at the best possible facilities," he said at an Iftar programme hosted by Bangladesh Jana Dal (BJD) in the capital.

A former president of the BNP regime who is now president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh, B Chy insisted that since Khaleda Zia is a three-time prime minister of the country, she deserves to be sent to London for better treatment.

He named Institute of Nurology Queen's Square or Hammer Smith Hospital in London as the most suitable institute.

B Chowdhury dwelt on prime minister Sheikh Hasina's criticism of him for supporting the cause of BNP despite misbehaviour to him, and said he does speak against misdeeds and in favour of democracy.

BJD president SM Shahjahan chaired the programme.
