Crude bombs exploded at BNP rally in Rajshahi, 5 hurt

Rajshahi, July 16 (Just News): Three crude bombs exploded during a rally of BNP’s student front Chhatra Dal in Rajshahi city on Tuesday injuring five people including a journalist.

Among the five injured three were identified as Habibur Rahman, an advisor to Khaleda Zia, Aditto Chowdhury, a journalist at Banglavision, and a blacksmith Sapan Kumar Das.

Iftekhayer Alam, assistant commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) acknowledged the blast but refused to give further details without further insight.

Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, an ex-minister of BNP, said that four to five masked men, riding two motorcycles, blast the bombs in the rally at Sagarpara around 11:00am.

The injured have been taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, he said.
