AL monitors students’ movement: Quader

Dhaka, Aug 3 (Just News): Ruling Awami League said on Friday it was monitoring the students’ movement for safe road and found that the ‘BNP and Jamaat-Shibir’ men had infiltrated in it.

After a joint meeting of the party at its central office at the Bangabandhu Avenue, party general secretary Obaidul Quader told it to the reporters.

‘But we are worried about the fate of the movement as ‘BNP and Jamaat –Shibir’ men already entered in it to realise their agendas, seeking to oust the government,’ Quader, also road transport and bridges minster, said.

The students started protests and took the control of different roads after a bus racing for passengers killed two of their fellows at the airport road on July 29.

He also called on the students to return to their educational institutes as the government already took steps to fulfil their nine-point demands.

The central secretaries, leaders of the Dhaka City north and south and president and general secretaries of AL’s front and associated organisations and member of the parliaments of AL attend the meeting.
