Dhaka, Nov 11 (Just News): Awami League will have no objection if the Election Commission (EC) defers the election date following demands from different political parties and alliances.
AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader said this today while talking to reporters at the AL president’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka.
He, however, said it is the jurisdiction of the EC whether it will defer the election date.
The deferment of election date has to be logical and it should be done through discussions, the AL leader said while reacting to a query.
Earlier today, the newly formed political alliance Jatiya Oikyafront confirmed that it would take part in the 11th national election. It also urged the EC to defer the election date by a month.
