Shots fired at BNP leader Moazzem’s motorcade

Dhaka, Dec 8 (Just News): Miscreants have allegedly fired a total of seven bullets at BNP’s Munshiganj candidate and former deputy prime minister Shah Moazzem Hossain’s car.

The incident occurred in the Kuchiamora area of the Sirajdikhan upazila around 5pm Saturday.

According to Moazzem’s brother Omar Faruk, the BNP leader is unharmed.

Although no one was shot, the impact of the bullets shattered some of the windows of the cars, injuring six.

Meanwhile, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police under the Sirajdikhan Circle Md Asaduzzaman said: “I heard about the incident, but have not been able to confirm it as of yet. I will disclose the details once I confirm it.”

Moazzem’s brother Omar Faruk also said: “Miscreants fired at our motorcade in the Kuchiamora area, but they only managed to damage five of the vehicles. They did not fire directly at Moazzem, and thankfully no one was shot despite the firing of seven bullets.”
