Jessore, Dec 3 (Just News): An NGO official was shot to death by unidentified assailants in the Nuton Uposhohor area of Jessore town on Saturday night.
The deceased is Golam Kuddus Viku, 50, son of Yasin Ali of the area. He is an executive director of non-government organisation (NGO) Prottasha Samaj Kalyan Sangstha.
A gang of five-six men shot Viku to death from a close range while he was standing at the door of his house around 9:30pm, said officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali police station AKM Azmul Huda.
Viku was rushed to Jessore General Hospital where physicians declared him dead.
Police is investigating the incident, OC added.
