People to wage movement to free Khaleda Zia

Dhaka, Apr 15 (Just News): Mentioning that the recent quota reform movement of students has sent a notice to the government, BNP senior leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday said people will forge a tough movement if good sense does not prevail upon the ruling Awami League.

"People will take to the street with a similar movement, free Begum Khaleda Zia and establish a people's government through the 11th parliamentary polls under a neutral government," he said while speaking at a divisional rally of BNP at Bhuban Mohan Park in Rajshahi.

Mosharraf, a BNP standing committee member, said BNP is carrying out a peaceful movement at the directive of acting party chairman Tarique Rahman. "Country's people will launch a tough movement in future if good sense doesn't prevail upon the government," he said.

He also said people will not allow any election in the country sans Khaleda Zia. "BNP will join the polls under Khaleda Zia. BNP won't take part in any conspiratorial election sans Khaleda," he said.

Claiming that Awami League fears people, the BNP leader said, "So, the prime minister is forcing people to take oath in different rallies."

BNP senior leaders Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Mahmud Khasru Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and Barkatullah Bulu, among others, addressed the rally.

Although BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was supposed to attend the rally as the chief guest, he could join it due to death of his mother.
