BNP threatens PM to take legal step for spreading ‘false info’

Dhaka, Dec 8 (Just News): BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today threatened to take legal step if what the party said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not stop spreading “false information” against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

“We will be compelled to take legal action if you (prime minister) don’t stop spreading false information,” Fakhrul said at a press briefing at the party’s Gulshan office today.

The prime minister yesterday at a media briefing said that Khaleda laundered huge sums to Saudi Arabia and it was regrettable that the news was reported by the foreign press, not by the local media.

Today, Fakhrul termed the allegations as totally false and motivated and demanded apology from the prime minister for “tarnishing image of Khaleda Zia”.
