Tigers out to do the undoable

Dhaka, Nov 6 (Just News) : Chasing 321 in the fourth innings is certianly no easy a task, but Bangladesh have batsmen who are capable of winning such a big challenge.Imrul Kayes and Liton Das have achieved their primary target - not letting a wicket fall in the remaining overs to be bowled on Monday, the third day of the first Test.

Now on 26 for no loss, Bangladesh need 295 more in their second innings to win this Test, which is not an easy task.

The highest target the Tigers have successfully chased in the fourth innings so far was 219, against West Indies in 2009.

But someday they were to chase down 300 or more, and there is no reason for the fans to believe it is impossible.

The hosts have Taijul Islam to thank for keeping them in the game, the spinner recorded another five-wicket haul, doing this in both the innings of this Test, to bundle Zimbabwe out for 181, almost a hundred runs less than their first innings total.

Zimbabwe went to lunch with 91 for 2, but Taijul led an assault that denied the visitors a chance to take a bigger lead.

Hamilton Masakadza was their highest scorer with 48 while Sikandar Raza added 25 and Brendan Taylor 24. Sean Williams and Regis Chakabva made 20 each as they set the Tigers a target of 321.

Taijul was helped by Mehidy Hasan Miraz who claimed three while nazmul Islam bagged two.

Chasing 321 in the fourth innings is certianly no easy a task, but Bangladesh have batsmen who are capable of winning such a big challenge.

They have two days and all the wickets in their hand, all they need is the batsmen to play 'no nonsense'. Zimbabwe bowlers exceeded their expectations in the first innings, but they are not unplayable and if the batsmen can hold their nerve, Bangladesh are in for a famous victory.
