Bangladesh thrash Malaysia by 262 runs

Dhaka, Nov 13 (Just News) : Bangladesh U-19 thrash Malaysia by a huge margin of 262 runs in the Youth Asia Cup 2017 at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Bangladesh youths are now at the top of the table.

Winning toss, Malaysia opted to bowl first. Bangladesh youths scored a mammoth 335 runs losing six wickets.

Openers Pinak Ghosh scored 12 runs while Nayeem Sheikh took 13 runs and returned to pavilion. But, batsman Saif scored 90 runs with 5 fours and 3 sixes while Hridoy scored 120 runs with 7 fours and 4 huge sixes. Aminul’s unbeaten cameo of 37 runs off just 17 balls took Bangladesh to a massive score of 335.

Malaysia bowler Hafiz picked up 4 Bangladeshi wickets. However, his bowling spells were expensive.

In reply, Malaysian youths managed to score only 73 runs losing 8 wickets in their stipulated 50 overs.
