DCI introduces “Dr. Ehsan Hoque Youth Leadership Award” at Rajshahi College

Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI) on Wednesday distributed “Dr. Ehsan Hoque Youth Leadership Award” at Rajshahi College.

The award selection committee of Rajshahi College has elected Sobnom Mostary, a fourth year student of sociology department for the award for her outstanding contribution in improving the education of distressed children by establishing the ‘Samajik School’.

Sobnom and her team are not only providing the education, they are also collecting winter cloth and nutritious food for them.

Prof. Md. Habibur Rahman, principal of Rajshahi College, was present as chief guest in the program.

Prof. Al-Faruque Chowdhury, Dr. Nazneen Sultana, Jakir Al Faruki, Chowdhury Saidur Rahman, Mosammat Ireen Parvin, DCI program manager Jamal Abdun Nasher Romel and program development officer H. Kabir Rohan, among others, present in the programme.

Sobnom Mostary received a crest and Tk 50,000 award money from DCI.

The purpose of the award program is to encourage youths to take leadership in social development. All the team member of ‘Samajik School’ offered special thanks to DCI for encouraging and electing them.

The guests and attendees praised DCI for encouraging the youths and requested to continue their assistant.
