A CCTV footage obtained by The Daily Star from police shows that Buet student Abrar Fahad was being taken by a group of students towards a staircase from a corridor of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university.
In the footage of the CCTV installed in the area, it was found that three youths, apparently Buet students, were carrying Abrar towards the staircases from the first floor from where his body was recovered early today.
A youth was walking next to them and six others were seen following those carrying Abrar.
Later, Abrar found dead near the staircase.
However, it was not clear whether Abrar was then dead or critically injured.
The footage collected from the students was verified by police.
