Ferdous Wahid tests positive for COVID-19

Legendary pop singer Ferdous Wahid has tested positive for COVID-19 after a second test.

Wahid is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday evening with a fever.

Earlier, Ferdous Wahid, who has been suffering from fever for more than a week, gave his swab samples for COVID-19 test at Anwar Khan Medical College Hospital but the result came back negative. After he was admitted to CMH, his swab samples were collected on Friday morning for a second test.

‘The result of Ferdous Wahid’s second COVID-19 test came back positive on Saturday morning. I am in touch with the family members of Wahid. I urge all to pray for his recovery,’ singer Fakir Alamgir told New Age.

Legendary pop singer Ferdous Wahid ruled the ‘70s and ‘80s with his sonorous voice and melodious tunes.
