Court asks CID whether Pori Moni’s seized valuables will be returned

A Dhaka court today directed Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to submit a report as early as possible on whether or not it would return a private car and other valuables seized from actress Pori Moni's residence -- as evidence in a case filed under Narcotics Control Act.

Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder passed the order after Pori Moni appeared before the court and submitted two separate petitions seeking order for return of the valuables.

The magistrate also directed the investigation officer of the case to submit the probe report before it by October 10.

On September 1, Pori Moni was released from jail on bail, four weeks after Rapid Action Battalion arrested her.

A Dhaka court, considering her health, age and reputation in film industry, granted ad-interim bail to her on August 31 in the case filed with Banani Police Station.
