A Dhaka court today granted bail to film actress Pori Moni and her two aides in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
The aides are Ashraful Islam Dipu and Kabir Hossain.
Judge (in-charge) Md Rabiul Alam of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court passed the order after the three surrendered before the court seeking bail, said Additional Public Prosecutor Tapash Kumar Pal.
The court also set November 15 for hearing on the acceptance of the charge sheet in the case.
On October 4, Inspector of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Investigation Officer of the case Kazi Golam Mostafa submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion detained Pori Moni and Dipu on August 4. They seized alcohol and narcotics from Pori Moni's residence.
The following day, the two were shown arrested in the case filed with Banani Police Station.
Later, Kabir was shown arrested in the same case.
On September 1, Pori Moni was released from jail on ad-interim bail, four weeks after her arrest.
