Migrant workers vandalise Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait

Migrant workers have vandslised Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait demanding their arrier salaries that left three poeple including the councilor .

A number of Bangladeshi workers of a local company took position in the embassy on Thursday morning (local time) and demanded salaries and akama.

Bangladesh Ambassador SM Abul Kalam said about 400 workers were staying in the embassy on Thursday.

"The workers informed the Bangladesh envoy about the matter. Accordingly, he talked to the company authorities and assured the workers of solving the issue at the shortest possible time.

The ambassador said he also received a letter of assurance from the company authorities in this regard and asked the workers to go back to their works.

The angry workers damaged furniture and two television sets while going out of the embassy.

Embassy's chief councilor and two others were injured in the incident.
