Prothom Alo joint editor Mizanur Rahman Khan has passed away.
He was 53.
He died on Monday evening while undergoing treatment at a private hospital (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).
Mizanur Rahman Khan was infected with coronavirus on 27 November. He was admitted to a private hospital in the capital. He was shifted to Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali in Dhaka on 10 December as his condition deteriorated. He was being treated at the intensive care unit (ICU) there.
He was put on life support on Saturday afternoon after further deterioration of his condition.
Physicians declared him dead at 6:05pm today, Monday.
