Dhaka, Aug 13 (Just News): Daily Samakal Editor Golam Sarwar, also a prominent journalist of the country, passed away tonight at a hospital in Singapore. He was 75.
Sarwar breathed his last at Singapore General Hospital around 9:25pm (Bangladesh time).
He was suffering from cardiac diseases and lung complications, he said.
He left his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
On July 29, Golam Sarwar, also the president of Editors’ Council, was admitted to Labaid hospital in Dhaka following a heart attack.
Later on August 3, he was taken to Singapore General Hospital for better treatment.
