Covid-19: Admissions in 4 Dhaka colleges postponed

Dhaka Education Board has postponed the admission process at four renowned colleges -- Notre Dame, Holy Cross, St. Joseph and St. Gregory -- for the academic year 2020-21 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and other circumstances.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, sent a letter in this regard to the concerned colleges on Wednesday instructing them to postpone their admission process.

However, earlier on Tuesday, these colleges were allowed to complete their admission process by June 20, but the decision was revised because of the ongoing circumstances, said Harun-ur-Rashid, college inspector of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.

“No admissions will be made in these four colleges until further notice,” he added.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame College had already decided not to take an admission test this year due to the coronavirus crisis.
