Former foreign secretary Md Shahidul Haque was infected with COVID-19 and undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka.
He was admitted to Impulse Hospital on August 5 after tested positive for COVID-19, according to hospital authorities.
Asked about his health condition, Shahidul said that he was feeling ‘much better’ now.
Shahidul retired as a senior secretary from the civil service on December 31 and joined South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) of the North South University as a senior fellow.
