Critically injured Ghoraghat upazila nirbahi officer Wahida Khanom, now undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital, has been made an officer on special duty, senior assistant secretary, at the public administration ministry.
The ministry issued an official order to the effect on Wednesday.
Through the same order, her husband Md Mesbaul Hossain, UNO of Pirganj in Rangpur, has been transferred to the health services division as senior assistant secretary.
On September 3 night, Wahida and her father Omar Ali were attacked at her official residence at Ghoraghat upazila town.
They were rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital from where the UNO was airlifted to Dhaka in a critical condition.
Wahida and her father are now undergoing treatment at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka.
Doctors at the hospital said that Wahida’s condition had improved, but her father was yet to improve.
