Bangladesh logged an additional 11 deaths and 470 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Friday, counting the death toll to 8,395 and infections to 545,424.
Among the deceased, six were male and five female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 15,032 specimens were tested in the timeline at 214 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 40,18,268 specimens as of February 26.
A total of 743 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 495,498.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
