At least three bogies of a freight train derailed in Milpara Ghorline area of Mirpur upazila in Kushtia on Friday.
None was in the derailment, railway office officials said.
West Pakshi divisional railway transport officer Beerbal Mandal said that three bogies out of nine of the Kushtia-bound train from Rajbari ran off the railway tracks at about 2:00pm.
Train services were suspended on Goalanda-Kushtia routes due to the derailment.
Train movement on the route will not be normal until the derailed bogies are removed from the line, he added.
