Covid-19 claims 41, infects 1,822 more in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 41 Covid-19 deaths and 1,822 infections in the past 24 hours on Thursday counting the death toll to 11,796 and infections to 769,160 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services handout came up with the latest Covid-19 update.

Among the deceased, 22 were male 19 female patients.

Some 21,585 specimens were tested in the timeline at 428 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 55,82,263 specimens as of May 6.

A total of 3,698 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 702,163.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first Covid-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
