Dhaka, Mar 4 (Just News): The attacker on professor Muhammed Zafar Iqbal of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Foyzur Rahman, was handed over to the police by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday.
The day before, the suspected attacker Foyzur suffered a beating at the hands of SUST students.
Today he was admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-9) made the handover to the Kotwali police station of the city.
Senior assistant commissioner Sadek Kawsar Dastagir said injured Foyzur has now been kept under supervision of physicians.
On Saturday, renowned writer and educationist Zafar Iqbal sustained head injuries as a young man stabbed him with a knife during a prize-giving ceremony of the university.
