Covid-19 kills 31, infects 1,290 more in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 31 Covid-19 deaths and 1,290 infections in the past 24 hours until Thursday 8:00am counting the death toll to 12,076 and infections to 7,78,687 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services handout came up with the latest Covid update.

Among the deceased, 17 were males and 17 were female patients.

Some 13,471 specimens were tested in the timeline across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 56,90,693 specimens as of May 13.

A total of 1,370 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 7,19,619.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first Covid-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
