At least 221 dengue patients had been hospitalised across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours till 8:00am on Firday taking the total official number of hospitalised patients to 7,472 since January 2021.
Of them, 212 were in the capital city of Dhaka while nine were elsewhere, said a press release of the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
During the past 20 days of August 2021, the number of hospitalised dengue patients was 4,814.
At 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka, 1,190 dengue patients, including 1,094 in the capital, were undergoing treatment on Friday.
Only 96 patients were hospitalised in different hospitals in other divisions across Bangladesh.
