Govt might consider vaccinating 12-18 year olds: Health minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said anyone aged 18 and above will get Covid-19 vaccines from now on.

"However, those between the age group 12-18 may have an opportunity to receive Moderna or Pfizer vaccines as per recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO)," he said at a program organized by the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery at Tejgaon Girls High School today.

A decision would be taken after an inter-ministerial meeting on Monday on how to take students to classes following health guidelines after all the schools and colleges reopen, he also said.
