Dhaka, Mar 13 (Just News): All four cabin crew members including pilot Abid Sultan of US-Bangla flight that crashed at Kathmandu airport have died, Rajkumer Chhetri, general manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, confirmed this morning.
The three other cabin crew members are co-pilot Prithula Rashid, Khwaza Hossain Mohammad Shafi and Shamim Akter.
All the crew members died yesterday soon after the US-Bangla flight from Dhaka crashed in Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, Chhetri said.
He however could not confirm whether they died on the spot or at the hospitals.
Among the 10 Bangladeshi survivors, the condition of at least three to four is stated to be critical, he added.
At least 49 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, were killed when the flight BS211, a 76-seater Bombardier Dash 8 Q-400, slammed on an empty field, caught fire, and came to a rest on a football pitch. It left a trail of twisted metal and scattered luggage.
The dead include 21 Nepalese, one Chinese and a Maldivian, Chhetri told this paper yesterday.
Flight BS211 took off from Dhaka around 12:51pm with 32 Bangladeshis, 33 Nepalese, and one each from the Maldives and China. It was scheduled to land at Tribhuvan at 2:20pm [BST].
