At least 256 more dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the new cases, 44 are from outside Dhaka and 212 patients were admitted to Dhaka's different hospitals.
A total 12,690 people were hospitalised with dengue this year.
Currently, 1,242 patients are undergoing treatment at different government and private hospitals across the country. Of them, 1,088 are taking treatment at 41 hospitals in Dhaka and 154 in different hospitals of other divisions.
So far this year, 11,395 patients have been released after recovering from dengue. A total of 53 people died due to dengue fever so far in the country.
