Educational institutions will be closed again if the Covid-19 situation deteriorates, Education Minister Dipu Moni said today.
"We hope that the infection rate will not increase. All educational institutions must maintain health rules. If the infection rate rises even after maintaining guidelines, all necessary measures will be taken. We will shut schools again if necessary," the minister said while speaking to the media at Jamalpur Circuit House this afternoon.
Dipu Moni also said maintaining health guidelines at educational institutions will lower the risk of infection surges.
The minister went to the district to attend a local Awami League conference there.
Schools and colleges are set to reopen across the country from tomorrow.
