Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have seized 5kg crystal meth also known as "ice" from Dhaka's Jatrabari area.
This is the biggest ever haul of crystal meth in the country, said Commander Khandaker Al Moin, Rab's Legal and Media Wing director.
"During the drive, Rab also arrested two 'ice' smugglers including one of the masterminds Khokon," said the Rab official.
Rab claimed to have recovered a firearm and bullets from their possession.
The elite force will hold a press briefing on it later in the day.
