At least five people were killed and 10 others hurt when a packed bus rear-ended a parked truck in Mymensingh on Saturday.
The crash occurred around 3pm on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway at the district’s Trishal Upazila, said police.
A Sherpur-bound bus rammed a loaded truck, which was parked on the side of highway at the upazila’s Cheler Ghat area, Trishal police OC Main Uddin told.
“All of the victims were passengers of the bus. Five people died on the spot and another died while being taken to the hospital. Several others are being treated at the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital,” he said.
