Bangladesh reports 6 more Covid deaths, 368 cases

Covid claimed the lives of six more people and infected 368 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Wednesday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 27,791 and infections to 15,66,664 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.80 per cent.

Among the deceased, four are male and two are female patients.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 20,393 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 831 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,01,55,435 samples as of October 20.

In the past 24 hours, 481 patients recovered from the viral disease totaling the recovery to 15,29,549.
