Dhaka, Mar 20 (Just News): It will take about two or three days to identify those still unidentified in the crash of the ill-fated US-Bangla Airlines plane that went down and killed 51 people, including 28 Bangladeshis, last week
Among those still unidentified are three Bangladeshis and two Nepalese, Raj Kumar Chhetri, general manager at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), said this morning.
“It will take about two or three days to complete the DNA profiling of the five unidentified bodies. After DNA profiling, we will hand over the bodies to their relatives,” Chhetri said.
On March 12, 51 people were killed, including 26 Bangladeshi nationals, when the US-Bangla Airlines plane crashed in Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport while landing.
Yesterday, 23 coffins, bearing the bodies of deceased Bangladeshi nationals, were flown back to the country from Nepal. A namaz-e-janaza was held at Army Stadium to pray for their departed soul.
