Govt offices reopen with poor attendance after Eid vacation

Government offices reopened in Bangladesh with poor attendance on Tuesday after Eid-ul-Azha vacation.

This year, government officials enjoyed holidays for four day between July 8 and July 11, with July 8 being a Friday.

However, the attendance of officials at the Secretariat in Dhaka was poor, with many people extending their vacation till July 14.

Banks and financial institutions also resumed operations on Tuesday.

This year, Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest festival of the Muslims, was celebrated on July 10.

Thousands of people had left Dhaka to celebrate Eid with their near and dear ones at their native places.
