Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader today (August 13, 2022) said the country's MP, ministers and Awami League men are living in heaven because the supporters of the government have made fortune through endless corruption.
Quader, also deputy leader of the opposition in parliament said this while speaking at a programme at the JP chairman's office at Dhaka's Banani.
"They [MPs, Ministers, and men from the AL] don't lack anything. They smuggle thousands of crores of taka out of the country each year. To protect the members of their party, the government is reluctant to take action," said the JP chairman.
"On the other hand, the people of the country are in dire straits due to the economic crisis. Everyone is suffering endlessly due to rising prices. The corrupt and looters never understand the suffering of common people. The people of the country want to get rid of the present situation," he also said.
