Flights cancelled as birds stuck in plane engines in Chittagong

The authorities at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong cancelled two international flights – to Dubai and Muscat – on Thursday night as birds had flown into the engines of the two aircraft.

One of the aircraft belongs to flydubai and another to Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Wing Commander Farhad Hossain, director of the airport, said a team of engineers from Dubai arrived in Chittagong at 8:30am on Friday to fix the flydubai aircraft.

The Biman place was also being repaired, he added.
