Dhaka, Apr 14 (Just News): Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback will visit Bangladesh this week, officials said.
He will discuss religious freedom with government officials, civil society representatives, and a range of leaders representing both majority and minority religious communities, says a media note issued by the US Department of State.
His travel will include a visit to Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.
The Ambassador will travel to Turkey and Bangladesh April 13-20, the media note says without giving specific date of his arrival in Dhaka.
Sam Brownback was sworn in as Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom on 1 February 2018.
He served as Governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018. Previously he served as a US Senator (1996-2011) and a U.S. Representative in the House of Representatives (1995-1996) from Kansas.
