Dhaka, Apr 15 (Just News): The shipping department chief engineer SM Nazmul Haque has been suspended temporarily by the shipping ministry on Sunday for his arrest by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
ACC on April 12 caught Nazmul, chief engineer and ship surveyor of the Department of Shipping, red-handed while taking Tk 5 lakh as bribe from a shipping company at a restaurant in the capital’s Segunbagicha area.
The ministry issued an office order on Sunday which said that Nazmul had been suspended temporarily for his arrest.
Earlier on Jul 19, 2017, the ACC caught the then DoS chief engineer AKM Fakhrul Islam red-handed at his Motijheel office when he was taking Tk 5 lakh as bribe from an employee of Bengal Marine Engineer Services.
