Corruption allegations: ACC defers Zahangir's summons to June 6, 7

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has rescheduled the date for quizzing sacked Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) mayor Zahangir Alam.

The commission has asked him to appear on June 6 and June 7 to hear his statement on separate allegations, said ACC's Deputy Director Ali Akbar who is investigating the matter.

Zahangir was originally asked to appear before the ACC on May 21 and May 22.

But on May 18, Zahangir requested the ACC to defer the dates by a month.

"The commission rescheduled the dates following his application," said Akbar.
