Dhaka, May 6 (Just News): The High Court has postponed Gazipur city corporation elections following a writ petition.
A two-member HC bench comprising justice Naima Haydar and justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order on Sunday after hearing the writ prayer, election commission lawyer Touhidul Islam confirmed this.
According to the schedule announced by the EC, Gazipur city corporation polls were slated to be held on 15 May along with the Khulna city polls.
