Man shot dead in Badda, 3 held

Dhaka, May 10 (Just News): Unidentified miscreants shot down a man in Badda of Dhaka on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, law enforcers arrested three attackers from a house where they were put under lock and key after locals caught them while they were fleeing from the spot.

The victim, Abdur Razzak, 30, was pronounced dead by doctors at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital after he was rushed there.

Body of Razzak bears several bullet wounds including the chest, DMCH sources said.

He is a resident of Madhhya Badda and an activist of Jubo League, Habibur Rahman, general secretary of Jagoroni club in the area, said.

Riding on a motorbike, the three attackers fired several gunshots at Razzak when he was having chitchat with several others near the club around 9:15pm, Habibur Rahman said.

Police recovered a fire arm from the spot, Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge (OC) of Badda Police Station told The Daily Star around 1:30am.

Locals, immediately after the incident, caught the trio and kept them under lock and key inside a house in the area.

The attackers fell down from the bike as they were fleeing from the scene.

Being informed, law enforcers including police, SWAT and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members cordoned off the single storey house, Ashrafuzzaman, assistant commissioner (AC) of Badda zone, said.
