Dhaka, May 10 (Just News): Lightning killed 12 people in nine districts since Wednesday night.
Of the deceased, two were killed in each of Satkhira, Comilla, and Habiganj, and one in each of Naogaon, Meherpur, Sherpur, Mymensingh, Narsingdi and Munsiganj.
Death toll from lightning rose to 35 in the last two days.
Our correspondent in Satkhira reported at least two were killed and five others were injured when lightning struck a fish farm where about 15 workers were at work at village Ghola of Shyamnagar.
The deceased were identified as Ashraf Sardar, 33, and Aminur Rahman, 30.
Our correspondent in Comilla reported deaths of two farmers after being hit by lightning around 10:00pm Wednesday night at village Muradnagar of Jatrapur union.
The deceased were identified as Imon Miah, 16, and Firoz Miah, 18.
Disaster management ministry confirmed deaths of five more people in Habiganj, Munshiganj, Meherpur and Narshingdi.
Department of Disaster Management confirmed three deaths in incidents of lightning in Naogaon, Sherpur and Mymensingh.
